IFSC's strong basic research group concentrates in applications for food ingredients, natural and synthetic antioxidants and applies these enormous research expertise for the product development in order to optimize and upgrade products through recipe engineering programme for multinational food companies world-wide.
IFSC has also developed strong quality systems to secure production of high quality products.
IFSC has developed strong expertise in sourcing and developing raw materials from various parts of the world. IFSC has been the first company in the world to develop Ph.D. programme for unconventional oils and fats from South East Asia and South America.
This work has led to the development of oils and fats for the cosmetic industry. This new activity included feasibility studies on new exotic butters in co-operation with the University of Aarhus.
